Personnel

The highly qualified team at Bio-Limno is headed by the founder and principal owner, Dr. Michael Agbeti. Michael has a Ph.D. in freshwater biology, with an emphasis in limnology.

Michael’s Ph.D. thesis research dealt with contemporary water quality issues in Dr. John Smol’s Lab, Department of Biology, Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada, while his M.Sc. thesis dealt with historical changes in lake trophic status using fossil diatoms (at Brock University, St. Catharines).

Following his Ph.D., Michael spent 2 years doing research on Alberta lakes. Michael has several years of expertise in identification of algae and zooplankton, and biomonitoring and interpretation of physical, chemical and biological data in freshwater systems. He has published extensively in the area of algal ecology.
